The Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP 30-30 Infant Car Seat is rear-facing only,and designed for a baby from 5 to 30 lbs. or up to 30”.  This infant car seat comprises an infant carrier and a base.  The infant carrier snaps into the base, and has a one hand release.  This infant car seat is compatible with Peg Perego Ganciomatic strollers and some from other manufacturer’s strollers as well (sold separately, or as a Peg Perego travel system).

• Child weight/size: 5 to 30 lbs. or up to 30”
• Car seat weight: 11 lbs. (infant carrier only); 6.5 lbs. (base)
• Stroller travel system compatible
• One hand release from base and Peg Perego stroller
• Side impact protection is adjustable in 5 vertical positions
• Extra wide safety padded wings
• EPS foam lined shell
• Headrest and padding made of soft “Comfort dry” microfiber cloth for proper ventilation

• No-rethread harness height adjustment

Pros:

• No-rethread harness height and side wing adjustment are very nice features to have.
• Infant carrier is compatible with many strollers, and this feature is very convenient to have.
• Nice feature set with SafeGuard LATCH push connectors, safety wings, easy adjustments and level indicator.

Cons:

• The infant carrier is ~11 lbs. (over a pound heavier than most other brands) and for most will become very difficult to lift via handle by the time your child is  approaching 20 lbs, so you may lose use of the carrier feature at that time (this is rated to 30 lbs.).  This is not so much a con, as a note of consideration.
• Fairly expensive (big price difference relative to some other infant car seats).
