Baby Trend has two versions of the car seat, one designed for a baby from 5 – 22 lbs. and 28.5” maximum, and another version for a baby from 5-22 lbs and 30” maximum.
- [22 lb. version] Child weight/height: 5 – 22 lbs., and up to 28.5 inches
- [30 lb. version] Child weight/height: 5 – 30 lbs., and up to 30 inches
- Car seat weight: ~9.5 lbs. (carrier); 6 lbs. (base)
- 5-point safety harness
- One-hand harness adjustment with push-button release
- Height-adjustable seat back; no harness rethreading
- 4-position push-button height adjustable base
- Level indicator for proper installation
- One-hand easy-access seat release
- EPS energy-absorbing foam for side impact head protection
- Canopy
- Carrying handle with rubber coated triangle shaped grip
- Soft head support
- Boot to provide extra warmth and comfort
- Flex-Loc refers to the base’s flexible (not rigid) latch straps
- Push on connector snaps onto the vehicle LATCH anchor
- Car Seat Dimensions: 16.5″W x 26″L x 25″
Pros:
- Compatibility with Baby Trend strollers (sold separately) is a very nice feature to have when you’re out and about with your infant.
- Carry handle triangle shape allows options to carry baby at different angles.
- Variety of styles and fabric patterns, and overall nice feature set.
Cons:
- Release is on the front of the car seat, and since it is rear facing, can be difficult to access depending on your seat type.
- Some users have difficulty with carry handle release buttons.
- The carrier is a bit heavy. It takes quite a bit of strength to lift the infant carrier with baby once your baby begins to reach 20 lbs., so you may lose the carrier feature early with the 30 lb. version of the seat.
- No shoulder pads are included.
